Hey, if its cold outside, our philosophy is that you may as well embrace it. And this weekend’s ADK Winterfest at the Adirondack Mountain Club’s Adirondack Loj property, has a mountain o' winter fun!

Highlights include various guided hikes -- including two up to Mt Joe, as well as guided hike to Phelps. Don’t have the right gear? Then you can borrow some microspikes.

Heart Lake is primed for ice skating and there is a Backcountry Safety and Avalanche Preparation talk. Tony Goodwin is back for a second year leading a beginner cross-country ski clinic. There’s Telemark Lessons with ADK staff, a Curling Clinic a intro to Nordic Skating with Human Power Planet Earth, a Mommy/Daddy and Me introductory cross-country skiing lesson with Cascade XC Ski Center Staff, and Orienteering with Jacques Riberdy, past advisor of Canadian NATO team.

There will be buffet dinner from 5-7 under the tent as well as live music with “Annie in the Water.”
