Schroon's Future? The Future of Your ADK Business? Read This!

If you own a business (or more importantly plan to)  in the North Country  -- and in particular the Adirondacks  -- there’s a meeting in Schroon next week you will not want to miss. Next Thursday, The Schroon Lake Area's Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring an important event that may have a positive impact on your business.

The event will be hosted by State Senator Betty Little and the Executive Director of the Adirondack Economic Development Corporation, Jim Murphy. They'll meet with businesses owners and talk about the benefits of getting certified by New York State as a Minority or Women Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE), available grants under the Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) and how to access them, and the multiple resources available to businesses of all sizes.

From the Chamber's new Executive Director, Patrick Siler:

“If you have never considered any of these, now is the time to find out. You may be quite surprised about how important the expansion of tourism is to our region and how many dollars are available to help promote Schroon Lake as a great destination.  An Economic Development Committee of Schroon's Chamber has been formed and is already working on submitting a request for funds through the CFA. If you have any interest in finding out what we are doing, or in helping write any pieces of the grant request, please email your contact information to the Chamber".
