Organizers of Schroon Lake’s Inaugural Opening Weekend continue to fine tune the event in advance of its Memorial Day Weekend launch.

The highlight of the weekend will be a “Tribute To the Troops” concert, at the Town Band Shell, which will replace a previously announced Fire Works display. The concert will feature a line-up of top area performers. And organizers are looking for donations to help offset the cost of staging the event. You can contribute electronically here.

And the Summer Expo – originally scheduled to be staged in the Town Park, has been renamed “Summer Expo on Main Street” and moved to Route 9. There are still available slots for vendors.

The Blessings of the Boats, a boat parade around the lake, a town wide garage sale, kids garden workshop, Zumba performance, a Yoga Sun Salutation and restaurant special menus remain unchanged.
