We are gonna take a wild guess that their will be screams of delight (hopefully) at the pubs and bars of Schroon after 4pm today.

Lest we need to remind anyone, there’s a do or die game of the world’s most popular sport being played by the United States today.

We are taking on  a country, which we are reminded by Joe Steiniger, one of their culinary claims to fame is that they dunk their French Fries in mayo. The country would be a little hamlet of Europe, sporting population a little over 11 million: Belgium.

The big screens, flats screens and small screens of many Schroon Lake establishments will be showing the game, including Witherbee’s, Flanagan’s, ‘The Wolf, the bar at Drake’s Restaurant and many eateries.

But a lot of the action is gonna be at Sticks and Stones, where the game just happens to coincide with their 2 for 1 drink special Happy Hour – until 7pm. Where will you be watching the game  -- and what’s your prediction?
