This just in: Some terrific news for fans of the Seagle Festival — live, in person audiences will be welcome at performances this year. More from the Seagle Festival.

After review of state guidelines and in consultation with our Board of Directors, Seagle Festival is thrilled to announce that in addition to its planned live-stream performances, all 2021 performances will now be open to COVID-19 fully vaccinated in-person audiences. To ensure the safety of artists and audiences, all patrons will be required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination by way of paper or digital copy of their CDC vaccination card or the New York State Excelsior Pass. Patrons unable to receive the vaccine may show proof of a COVID-19 negative result PCR test taken within 72 hours of showtime for any performance being attended. Seagle Festival will also require audience members to wear face coverings at all Seagle Festival indoor locations, including the Oscar Seagle Memorial Theater.

“While we were satisfied with the decision to have all our shows live-streamed this season, it was always our hope that things would improve enough to invite live audiences”, said Darren Woods, Artistic Director. “As a former singer, I know how much these artists want and need an audience, and our patrons are really eager to see our singers live on stage. The connection between our artists and our patrons is very special and forms bonds between them that lasts for years.” Seagle Festival is operating with a 100% vaccinated cohort of artists and staff for 2021.

Seagle Festival will continue its plans to live-stream all performances for those who do not live in the area and for people who have not been vaccinated. “There are people all over the country who are alumni of Seagle, or have visited in the past that can’t get to Schroon Lake regularly. With the new streaming technology we have invested in, those folks can enjoy our shows from anywhere in the world. Even when the pandemic has completely ended, we plan to continue to live-stream some of our shows” added Woods.

“In whatever fashion audiences are able to join us, we are thrilled to offer our exciting programming this summer. Canceling the Festival in 2020 was one of the saddest things to happen in the rich 106 year history of Seagle”, said Tony Kostecki, General Director. “We can’t wait to welcome everyone back again.”

Tickets for in-person performances will be available beginning Tuesday, June 15. Vaccinated patrons who have already purchased live-stream tickets and wish to convert them to attend in-person can do so by calling (518) 532-7875. To purchase tickets for either in-person or live-streamed performances, visit http://seaglefestival.org or call the Seagle Festival box office at (518) 532-7875.
