Adirondack Marathon 2018 Wrap

When Scott Davis turned 40, he decided to run his first marathon. He was in good shape and wanted to see how he would do. So Scott chose the Adirondack Marathon ….and won it!

His time: 2 hours, 45 minutes, 58 seconds, beating second place runner by more than 10 minutes.

Heather Morgan of New York City was the top female runner in the marathon in 3:13:59.

Awards and Rewards
Each runner who crosses the Finish Line will receive an Adirondack Marathon Distance Festival finisher’s medal. The awards ceremony is at the Town Beach starting at 1:00 p.m. for the half-marathon and 2:00 p.m. for the marathon. You must be present at the post-race awards ceremony to receive your award. For the overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place men and women, original handcrafted Adirondack crafts will be awarded; place is determined by clock time. Adirondack gifts will be awarded to 1st place in the following age categories for men and women, based on chip time. If an age category has more than 100 runners, it will be subdivided. Under 30, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+.

Relay Team Awards – Adirondack gifts will be awarded.

Official qualification times for the marathon and certificates of completion for the full and half-marathons will be available on this website shortly after the race.

Prizes for record breaking men and women in the full Marathon:
$500 prize for a new course record OR:
$500 for the best man under 2:30:00.
$500 for the best woman under 3:00:00.

Prizes for record breaking men & women in the half-marathon:
$125 prize for a new course record OR:
$250 for the best man under 1:08:00.
$250 for the best woman under 1:22:00.
